Okay, there is a forum I belong to that has a thread called, "Unfunny Comics," which is essentially to try to laugh at misfortune a bit, but also so others there can commiserate with you.
This week has been especially rough on me (well, from the 4th to today, the 13th). The below were my contributions to the "Unfunny Comics" thread for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, respectively. |

Your Week
It hurts when we feel compelled to make a joke out of what's happened to us. The only thing what hurts worse is when we don't even make that effort.
If it was me, which it's not, I'd try to focus on the words of the twelve year old: You help her, make learning fun, You are not a Meany, and you even juggle and do magic tricks!!
Try to focus on people like that. You are her "most favorite teacher." I know things suck right now, but things change, always. I'm hoping (and praying) things change for the better for you.
Try to hold on to the good things.

I wish I knew what to say to make things easier. You were my guiding light when I felt completely lost in darkness. Every time I smile now, it's because you and Melanie took the time to befriend me, to make me feel like a human being again. You touch so many lives just by being yourself.
I hope things get better soon because you, of all people, deserve such good things :-)

Was re-reading Pen Pals today and although it fizzled out in the end I got a few chuckles out of it and a few near tears.
You can be very creative when you put your mind to it. Sorry the teaching job blew up. You sound like you could have been good at it.
If you can find a way to bamboozle the biggots maybe you can be a sucess in the real world as well. Sadly IMAGE counts for so much in the world.
