Hi all. More of A Walk in the Dark has been kind of slowed down for several reasons. I recently bought a new computer, with a new OS (for me) so am playing with that to figure out how to get it to do what I want when I want instead of what it thinks I should do. I spent a month doing that with XP, by the way. But I'll get there. I actually like Windows 7, which is one up on when I first got XP.

Also, I've had a series of doctor's appointments over the past few weeks and have one more to do next Monday. Talk about distracting. No life threatening stuff, just things to confirm my need for disability. But it is time consuming, especially with all the paperwork I have to fill out.

So, I will keep Walk going, I'm having way too much fun with it not to do that. Just be patient for awhile and the chapters will start pouring out again.

Love Ya all.

Maggie

Stay well

... and we will be waiting :)

Too much fun...

I know all about the disability thing. I got turned down the first time, but I'm receiving it now. It's quite a load off, that's for sure. Good luck!

And... I understand about getting used to Win 7. I bought a laptop with 7, which my wife took over for her online schooling. When she asks me for help, I sometimes have to remind her that she has used Win 7 a whole lot more than I have. Shoot... I used Win 98 until around 2008. LOL I did some with Win 2000 and Win XP, but I am now using Linux Mint pretty much exclusively. I just bought a laptop to replace the one that my wife appropriated, but the first thing I did was load Linux ArtistX and Linux Mint. No more worries about viruses.

So... good luck with your RL stuff. The next installment of Walk is worth waiting for.

Oh, don't worry too much

We'll hold on. :)

And you be nice to the good doctor, and don't worry about your new computer - figuring out new things is a lot of fun!

But of course!

Take care of yourself, and don't worry about 'Walk.' We're not going anywhere. I'll pretty much read anything you write since you're on my 'trusted author' list. :) However 'Walk' is in a category by itself. The really, really, good stuff, you read when the world seems full of mean people and you need to step away for just a little break from reality. A funny, clever, and smart adventure of a girl and her spider.

Big Gentle Hugs!

If this feels like the case for me 24-7, what should I do. Next time get a mac they are much better.

hugs :)

It's amazing about windows

It's amazing about windows 7. It took two decades for Microsoft to make an OS people could actually like.

(Maybe a slight exaggeration, but after the Win95 "plug and play" fiasco, Windows ME, XP "Gold", and Vista, Microsoft was showing a real lack of ability to make things that worked well for people)

Wishing you the best.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
