I'm not sure how many of you read Arecee's blog when he posted Assassin part 6, but I'm the editor who was under the weather and delayed the posting by about 3 weeks.
it seems that I have had Hepatitis, luckily, not the contagious types, for several months. I've been trying to take off 2-3 pounds a month and had gotten down to 210 from 250 Nov 1.
Then, without trying to, I lost 10 pounds by US Thanksgiving Day, Nov 23.
That is when I really began feeling bad. My Thanksgiving meals consisted of a bowl of soup and 2 peanut butter sandwiches.
I had blood tests the next week before going to see my doctor, which i was told would take 3-4 days to complete so i was surprised the next day when my docoto called to tell me all kinds of things were wrong.
Like Angela, I have seen a lot of doctors since then, an ultrasound which found nothing, A CATScan, which showed a bit, but was not conclusive, so yesterday I had an endoscopic exam ( camera and ultrasound down my throat, followed by similar internal surgery, in which a stent was put in to open and keep mile bile duct open.
I felt a LOT better immediately. 90 minutes after waking in recovery I was allowed to WALK out of the hospital, something I've never heard of before.*
On the way home, I got Shelly, known here as shalimar to stop so I could get a hamburger, the first time in a month I;d been hungry.
I feel even better today.
So Happy Hollydays to all.
* in 1980 I was hospitalized for a long time, and for 3 weeks, was walking 3-4 miles a day inside the hospital. When I was discharged, I still had to get in a wheel chair for the 30 feet from my ground floor room with an outside door to the car. Yesterday it was a walk of more like 4000-500 feet.

Glad
to hear you're out of the hospital for the Holidays. Even happier that you're doing better. May you and Shelly have a very happy Christmas.
Hugs!

I had that
the contagious type way back in 77. I felt so bad, I wanted to die to feel better. The docs were treating me for flu, until I turned yellow, then they freaked. I spent three weeks in isolation. The only treatment was time and a vitamin pill the size of a football, daily. LThink of it this way.....now you have the perfect excuse to not donate blood. They run screaming from you when you mention that factoid. No more free cookies for you. ;))
