I am blessed

I just wanted to share ...

... how blessed I am. About 3 weeks ago I met the most amazing person and he has accepted me with loving arms and a warm, spiritual, and special home for me. He has two dogs and a cat (who is more affectionate than any cat I have ever met) and has made his home open to me. He is wonderful!! Okay I know, anyone in love feels that way, and I am able to say ... I am in love with him. We complement each other and he lets me cuddle and more with him. It feels so special.

My therapy with the VA is going well (okay ... it is hard and has me in tears frequently, but I am healing). My PTSD and MST is finally being dealt with, and yes I am finally accepting that terrible and horrible events have happened in my life, and I can see the possibility of no more nightmares. I am amazed that I can feel safe and comfortable with him, and still be afraid of men. He is that special to and for me. The first night we slept together he held me and chased the nightmares away with gentle and soothing words and arms. He told me that within a few days he knew I was that special someone for him. I knew the night we met.

I tease him that he is cradle steeling as he is 14 years older than me, but we are emotionally very close in age. I ask all to pray for both of us, that we have that meaningful and supportive relationship all loving couples have.
