I'm spending a lot of time lately either hauling my Mom to and from doctor appointments or waiting for hours in doctors' offices. So please understand that I'm not able to give BC the nearly every hour attention I normally do.

Mom is taking treatments for metastasized breast cancer, not life threatening but possible helath and quality of life issues involved. It's tedious and uncomfortable but we're getting through it.

Hugs,
Erin

Thank you

Thanks Erin for all the hard work you've done in the past and I hope that everything works out for your Mom and yourself.
hugs!

Best of luck to both of you

Erin,

Cherish your mom while you have her and I hope she cherishes you as well.

Do take care of your own health while helping her. Too ofter I've seen the care taker of a couple become sick or worse from the stress. For a while after mom died I worried dad would follow soon but he has found ways to keep busy, including taking a college grad school level course on dating ... radiogenic that is. He's pretty much his old self now. He has a big advantage over the other students, he can look at a rock and say, I remember when that was made. He is 80, that's like really ancient, right?

Wishing the best for you and your mom.

That's OK, Hon

I've been doing much the same sort of thing, as my 87 year-old mother fell and cracked several vertebrae in her back, necessitating back surgery and mucho assistance in just about everything. Hang in there, and we'll try and keep the lid on for awhile.

Try and make a few minutes for yourself, to take a break and relax. Even 10 or 15 minutes here and there. just sit down and close your eyes, take a deep breath, and let it out slowly. Works for me, anyway.
