Just finished a German exam over a mobile telephone. Hard to hear the examiner, and for some reason I was nervous as all hell. I speak German, for gods' sakes.
That's it, though, my last exam for the foreseeable future. Do I care about the result? Course I do!

Exams ...
... are always stressful. I've never failed one, technical or hobby-related but that somehow makes it worse. The last one I took was for flying RC model planes and I think the one before that was for a sailing instructor qualification. Neither is as grand as it might appear :)
However, the thought of taking a foreign language exam horrifies me. The only exam I nearly failed was French at 'O' level GCE in 1956 - I just got the abysmal 45% as a 'Pass'. Strangely I remember a lot of it and find it useful when touring my favourite holiday destination.
Anyway, congratulations, as I'm sure you've passed ;)

Congrats on the pass.
Another language, another land.
All I've got is English and that because it's my native tongue. It should have been Welsh but then,-....for all the obvious reasons.
No O'levels, No A'levels but a master mariner's licence, a B.Sc., Hons Wales and an MSc. Then it was to heck with academia, back to the daily grindstone and the insanity of everyday life.
I can order a room, buy a ticket and feed myself at table in French, Arabic and Japanese, (that'll do pig').
I presume more travelling is on the cards then.
Beverly.
Growing old disgracefully.
German
I speak it already...just wanted to start a formal course, but it is now going all online, so stuff it!
