Salutations and greetings:
After a few months of quiet (okay my computer was down) I am back online. My operations were successful and I am back among the living. The operations were ... well they took more out of me than I expected and I am recovering and getting ready for the next phase of my life.
Just wanted to update everyone.
Kendra

Nice to see you back with us
I take it the Thailand trip went well.
So it's welcome to womanhood time then I assume?
Just be aware that post opperative depression can set in, soon after or months after surgery. I guess it has something to do with having achieved all your big goals and being uncertain about the future. The physical stress of the opperation may be implicated as well, a sort of PTSD I imagine. Whatever the cause it can be a difficult time for one. I recall several regulars here at BC having that unpleasant experience after SRS.
If you need advice please ask for it, seek out professionalls or ask for help here from those who have gone through it. As a non TG type, just a shy guy with a strong and warped? imagination, I can only imagine what it must be like. My hat's off to you for your courage.
Best wishes to you.

SRS with the least grace and dignity.
Looking back, Kendra, it may be posible that I complained and cried more than most other post ops. It was a big adjustment for me. As I got off the plane when I came home, a friend picked me up at PDX and she said that I looked so much different. She said it looked like I'd had a lot of facial surgery besides SRS. In truth, I'd had just a tiny lip lift that was so minor that he said he'd never done one but then admitted it made a lot of difference in how I looked.
John was right. A while after SRS, I had buyers remorse, but I had a good counselor and we got through that pretty fast. Others will tell you that at times I've since been a sassy bitch.
I will have to say that getting that shit out from between my legs was the best! YOu may find that you don't tolerate pants very well for a while. It's been 3 1/2 years for me and I still hate pants, but that may be as a result of my anger at not being able to wear them for 50+ years; sort of a back lash.
Anyway.
Best to you
Gwendolyn
