To everyone who has contacted me recently, thanks so much for writing. The answer is, yes, I'm fine (apart from a bad back, which is an old friend), but soooo busy. My parents (both mid 80s and not at all well) found their rambling home in Scotland too much and have finally accepted the suggestion that they'd be better closer to me and in a retirement comunity (independent living but with care if and when they need/want it)
So, I have had to find somewhere, arrange the rental, arrange the sale of their home, arrange the sale of much of their over-large furniture, buy and erect wardrobes, buy beds, arrange utilities, arrange mobility scooters and safety equipment throughout, deal with electoral rolls, deal with banks, vets, doctors, dentists, sort out the parrot's cage, field constant phone calls from my dad who forgets more than he doesn't and have exactly the same conversation with him every day. I have to move them in a few weeks the 500 miles... golly am I looking forward to that! (not!)
Okay, if that weren't enough, I'm finding that I'm in demand to do some work and I'm turning away more than I can take, because of the above, which pisses me off greatly!
I've had to shelve my degree course because I simply don't have the time, and my writing is taking a back seat as well, much to my disgust because I need it for my sanity. Actually, I do manage a few exhausted minutes each day and am making slow progress with some of my stories, but it is so slow. I'm a I NEED IT YESTERDAY person, so this pisses me off greatly too!

Like some of your other readers, I've been wondering how you're getting on, and I really appreciate the update.

Hi Tanya
Hi Tanya,
It is great to hear from you. I know a lot of what you are going through with your parents. I took care of my grandparents for the last eight years of their lives. My grandfather had Alzheimer's the last few years of his life and like your dad, he forgot more than he remembered. It was very hard on us for a while there. I certainly wish the best for you and you will be in my thoughts as you continue to go through all these things. We missed you! Keep in touch whenever you can okay?
Hugs,
Jen
Glad You're Okay
I think you had a lot of us worried. I know you have your hands full, but it sounds as if you have things under control. You have your priorities, and I hope things go well. Looking forward to your Thames Valley Tales.
