Well, today has been an exercise in patience and frustration.
First our DSL modem burnt out. It had it configured to be able to do anything it needed to so that everyone could get out on the Internet. Got a new one to replace the dead one. Installed it. It was assigning ONE IP address to EVERY device. In other words, the DHCP wasn't working at all.
So I had to go around and install static IP addresses to every machine we have, and there are some more that aren't here that need it too. Have to turn on the DHCP for the wireless router I guess. URG.
Then getting my T* blocker. Apparently our insurance won't pay for it unless the Doctor calls and authorizes it with the Insurance company. I've been calling every day this week to try to get it authorized, and nothing happened. Finally I went to the office today so that I could ask him in person, and the secretary who was going to call me when he was available FORGOT ABOUT ME. It was nearly close of Clinic when she remembered me and I got in to see the nurse and tell her the problems. He gave me a new scrip for the Gemfibrosil med that I take, and they would take care of the other.
Two hours to get home. He calls and tells me that it's taken care of. So now I get to go BACK OUT in the rain and get my prescription.
But, things are fixed now. Internet, scripts and other stuff.
Yay for persistence.
ETA: AND we just found out that the insurance won't pay for THAT one either. Anyone on Merck's Patient Assistance Program for Propecia?

Maybe I'm just paranoid...
... But if it were me, I'd be hunting someone's head for being jerked around like that :-/
*hugs* Hope things get better soon in any case. And I really hope it's all just one big misunderstanding and not someone being a giant d-bag.
