In line with some of the article's points, I'm going to change commenting in two ways. I may have read someting similar in various other places but this makes good sense and ties it all up. A sense of anonymity, no visual/tone of voice/body language clues to go on and Gandi turns into The Imperial Dragon of the KKK.
I hope I remember this next time I'm tempted to *fire one off.*

I'm a little concerned
Dear Erin,
I scanned the NYT article. Now I'm a little worried that I will soon become a slavering monster at the keyboard.
Is there some medication I can take prophylactically?
Will I even recognize the condition in myself as it happens or afterward; to be able to appologize to any parties I have offended or might offend?
Does this condition progress with more and more frequent use of a computer?
Should I quit using my computer completely to be absolutely sure I never succum to this condition?
Would it be possible to have someone available to kick me in the between-the-legs-place before I get too far along the wrong path? (Or a pumch in a breast as they also seem pretty sensitive these days.)
