Stephen now joins Chaz Bono as one of the more famous FtM children of celebrities.
In my opinion, or perhaps just hope, such public transitions of "Inside Hollywood" -type names help to undemonize transgender issues in the public mind.

You can bet that there are just as many who go MtF, though so far, I can not remember ever hearing of one. Well, I wish the child the best.

Undemonize?
I suspect the prevailing opinion of those in the 'fly over' states is more "Those nitwits in Hollywood! You won't believe what one of them has gone and done now! They're all crazy!" The local radio morning shows were all filled with scornful comments when the Chaz Bono story came out. Some publicity IS bad publicity!
