Lawrence Hawthorne and Sally Driscoll are asked to solve a multiple homicide in which Bureau of Special Resources agent Doro is the prime suspect. Brade wants the pair to perform a parallel investigation as a safeguard against government coverup. The result is Larry dusting off skills learned from one of the greatest hard boiled detective who ever lived.
