User interface woes

I'm getting confused by the checkbox at the bottom of the new story submission page, I think.

It's labelled 'Ongoing' but it also says "Click to mark as completed story", so is that a 'yes' or a 'no'?

I never submit incomplete stories, but a tick against 'Ongoing' appears to apply a flag called 'Completion'. But there's also a way to toggle 'ongoing' when viewing the story itself, so, uh...?

Limerence

Limerence is a psychological term for an involuntary, obsessive state in which one is infatuated with someone, usually accompanied by delusions of or a desire for an intense romantic relationship with that person. Bad enough, but what if a crossdresser had a stalker?

That’s the theme at the heart of my latest book – new on Amazon.

“Interesting” Foreword

Way back in April 2010, BC author ‘Koalas’ shared ‘Him Lady or She Male’ on this site. It’s still here, in fact.

Or, if for some reason you would prefer to give £5.92 to a thief, you can buy it from Amazon, where the same text has appeared as Girl By Accident: TRANSGENDER TRANSFORMATION by Selena Jeffries.

Thanks for reading ‘Gamer Girl‘

It’s been great to see so many folks getting hold of a copy of ‘Gamer Girl’, over the last couple of weeks. I’ve seen feedback via e-mail, personal messages here, on Goodreads, etc... kind of chaotic. (Who knew that sharing a book for free would be so much harder than doing it for money?)

If you want to read it but don’t want to use Smashwords, there’s a downloadable .pdf version at Sugar and Spiiice.

Best wishes,

Bryony

Superhero emphasis at Transfiction wiki

I’m a contributor to the Transfiction wiki, but I have to ask... is it really a wiki about transgender fiction? Each time I look at the recent changes, virtually everything is the upload of a “superhero” type character (commonly an image) with nothing to make clear why it features on transgender fiction wiki.

Maybe I’m just the odd one out and you all love comic books.

Gamer Girl

My next is actually the product of a collaboration with the fabulous Chris Archer, author of ‘Special Inquiries’. ‘Gamer Girl’ is the story of a lad who likes to present as a female in an online computer game. It’s only meant to be an innocent bit of fun – after all, if anybody realises he’s a boy he can just sign out and never go back, right?

It soon becomes more complicated than that, with higher stakes to play for.

Thank you!

A quick message to thank you for checking out ‘My Faustian Bargain’. At a time when the economy is wobbly and bills are high, it means a great deal that so many people have chosen to buy my book. Especially given the large (and growing) number of free transgender-themed stories out there. Perhaps there’s life in the writing game yet!

Best wishes,

Bryony

New Novella: My Faustian Bargain

Greetings everyone,

Announcing the arrival of my new novella, ‘My Faustian Bargain’: the tale of a man who uses ancient magic to borrow against his own future and live a life of comfort and ease. After eight years it’s time to pay up and Kurt soon discovers the downside of having enhanced his manliness as all debts are collected, plus interest.

Kurt becomes Kirsten, a lowly maid to his former lover – and Kirsten’s troubles are only just beginning.

New novel: Schooled

Schooled is the story of George, a teacher who spends much of his free time as Jessica, the woman he wishes he could have been. George inadvertently ‘outs’ himself to his head teacher, the fierce Ms Victoria Stanton, but her reaction surprises him: she wants to meet Jessica, and gives every indication that she likes her.

Trying the .mobi format

book cover
My most popular story on here (assessed by likes) is ‘If You’re Done’. You can read it right here on BigCloset, but I thought that perhaps some folks would like it have it in a format that they can download and keep. I designed some cover art, gave the story an edit (because I’m never truly happy with anything...) and a friend converted the result into the .mobi format, which I think ought to be suitable for most people with an e-reader.
