One year ago today, my baby brother died in the hospital, never having regained consciousness after being run down in front of the high school.
I am providing links to two blog entries I made about the ordeal, one the night he died, and one from 7 weeks later. The entry from 7 weeks after the fact was mostly my reflection on the man my brother was becoming.

yes, peace
Again, my deepest sympathies Edeyn. I reread the 2 pieces on Michael.
And again he sounds like one hell of a kid; A good brother
and a good friend, who gave you the love and support
that so many in your family seem incapable of...

Time will make it less painfull but the memories will remain
It's three years plus since Mom passed and this New Years Eve marks three for my older sister. It still hurts.
You have the added pain of someone dying so young and needlessly. Mom was almost 80 when she died. Ann was born severely disabled and not expected to live past her teens, she made it to 50 so both got a decent shot at life.
The best we can do is live well and remember.
Time will ease the pain, one year is a just a start.
