Blog About:
It was suggested that I do a weekly meme post of a meme related to LGBT or BC itself. So far I have come up with 53 meme pics. That's enough to post one a week for the next year. I'll probably post on a Wednesday or Saturday through the blog feature.
Half of the memes I already had. These are a meme I created myself that I call the autistic transgender meme. Some of them are funny, some are sad, some are WTF.
Before I start any meme posts, I need to figure out how I'm going to host the images. I know I have space here on BC but for these I may want to host them elsewhere such as IMGUR. I know I definitely don't want to place them on my DA account. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Other than that, I got a message from Amethyst which made me a bit happier than I was before because I know she's still there.
New Stuff:
- I've started on my first Battletech fan fic. Never thought I'd write fan-fic. So far I've got the first five chapters outlined with the first two into rough.
- Working on finishing an outline for the first book of my Project Salamander so I can start writing in it.
Status:
- Kregg's Story 7 - Edit
- Quantum Implicitum Inheritance 4 - Not even started... shame on me
- Fracta Sole Cause 5 - Edit
- Micans Nox 1 - Edit(This is an Amaranth Story)
- Amaranth Gazetteer Character page - Design/Rough
- MOTU April 13, 2014 01 - Done, waiting on sign off by Amethyst (Don't push yourself to review it A. Take your time.)
- MOTU April 13, 2014 02 - Edit
- MOTU April 13, 2014 03 - Edit
Of course all of this could be crap and the earth is struck by a giant asteroid tomorrow.
So yeah. This post was mainly to give a heads up on the meme post and I threw in the stuff about my writing because why not.
Also does anyone use a CPAP, because I do, and I want to run some questions by you through PM about it.

So Far ...
...Quantum Implicitum and Fracta Sole are coming along well. I look forward to the ensuing chapters.
I haven't tasted the rest, but look forward to them
Keep up the good work!

THANK YOU FOR READING MY STORIES.
I'M WRITING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I'M EXCITED, BUT IT IS LATE AND I CAN'T MAKE TOO MUCH NOISE OR MY NEIGHBORS WILL BE UNHAPPY, AND SO THE CAPS WILL HAVE TO SUFFICE TO CONVEY MY FEELINGS.

Too little time
Since I have far too little time to read much these days with RL and my writing sucking me in and distractions (oh, too many distractions), I'm sorry to say I've only been able to read Fracta Sole from you.
BUT HOW DO YOU HAVE SO MANY PROJECTS GOING ON!? I have trouble managing one! Hehe. Anyway, good luck, and I'm usually am not a fan of fanfic, but I must say I'm very excited for a Battletech story. Does a beefy, masculine-looking mech get refitted as a sleek, feminine mech, too? LOL!
Go take a look at my
Go take a look at my blog(Which I've been slacking off on updating, shame on me), and look at my writing page. The link is in the nav bar at the top of the blog.
It's a list of everything I've come up with and want to finish and work on.
I'm not sure how I can have a lot of projects going on at once. Usually I stress out and panic when overwhelmed. Maybe I've learned to keep from falling apart. That and I'm on a mood stabilizer so it's like I'm cheating.
As for time, I've got to where I write whenever I have free time. I take my laptop almost everywhere with me. Right now, I'm waiting for an appointment with an end user at an offsite location and I was working on my writing. I am constantly thinking about my stories in my head, whether it's picturing how a story flows, or coming up with a solution when I'm at an impasse.
And the mech doesn't get refitted to a sleaker more feminine model... at least I haven't figured a way yet.

Have I Been Wasting My Time?
I saw your last post, and very entertaining it was.
But it begged a question: do you actually know what a meme is?
I ask this because I spent several years writing a sequence of stories, all available here, that hinged on the concept of a meme as a self-replicating unit of information.
This is from 'The House In The Hollow'
Memes.
Viruses of the mind that spread from one brain to another, parasiting the host and turning it into an instrument for the meme’s propagation. Agents of cultural transmission, passed on because of the brain’s predilection for unconscious imitation – a survival mechanism as old as humanity.
If you see a group of people running in a certain direction, the instinct is to join them because they’re almost certain to be fleeing from danger. On the African savannah that probably meant a large predator; those who lacked that automatic response were more likely to be eaten, and consequently fewer of them lived long enough to mate and have children. Natural selection, in the form of fierce, hungry carnivores, has made us intensely susceptible to the replicators that today bombard us from magazines, newspapers, cinema screens, radios and television sets. We can’t stop humming that tune. We’ve simply got to tell that joke. We don’t mean to start talking like the guys on that American cop show, it just slips out.
I didn't post these stories thinking they might change the world. But I hoped that once they were published people who use this site would know what a meme was.
Help me out, someone. Tell me it wasn't a complete waste of time.

Two different meanings
Your meaning is the classic, more or less, original meaning, Nicki. But a meme is also a short, preferably memorable, caption for a picture, usually of a cat or the combination of picture and caption. :) Words mutate as soon as they are invented. What happened here is the cute-picture-of-a-cat-with-a-clever-caption meme spread and the instances of it were then identified as memes, rather than instances, then the word shifted to refer to the caption. Language happens.
Hugs,
Erin

Yes
Nicki, you are correct that a meme is as you describe.
Then there is the lesser type of meme. The ridiculous internet pictures labeled with the word meme, but falling far short of the true meaning of the word.
As for a thought virus, they can be scary. Horrifyingly scary on an unbelievably scary level if exploited.

A Sign Of The Times
Thank you both for that information. As a good friend suggested to me in a PM, the misuse of the word 'meme' has now become a meme itself.
Invented by one of our finest thinkers, and corrupted by halfwits (I don't mean you, Stardraigh!)
Kind of sums up the age in which we live.
