And it made me think about one of my most special friends, Denise Trask. I am ashamed to say that I have been so busy lately, and so buried in my own issues, that I have not thought of her in some time.

Please forgive me Denise. You were a very special friend and mentor to me when I truly needed someone to guide me. Your efforts, along with a few others here on BCTS, kept me sane and helped me to move forward. Without your help especially, along with that of Bailey Summers, I would not be the person that I am today - hell, I would probably not be alive today. For me to have not thought of you is selfish and unthinking of me.

I hope that you are in a better place now, and I hope you are keeping a bar stool warm for me. Tell the boys I said to behave, and that I will be along soon enough - but I have more to do here first.

I miss you and your wonderful letters filled with advice and encouragement. But more than that, I miss simply knowing that you are there for me.

Absent comrades.

It's a beautiful well written story

The Last of the Fey has a lot of technical jargon in it along with how movie studios work. If she wasn't in the industry herself she did a truly remarkable lot of research before writing her story. She gave her brother all her literary rights and he graciously gave the right of The Last of the Fey to BCTS. Erin correct me if I'm wrong. I've made several donations in Denise name because it is such a great story and I have read it five or six times. It's one of a kind with SF magic tossed in.
There are so many I regret I didn't have the opportunity to visit and get to know before I started reading their names in the right hand column. So many people I have promised to take the time when we do meet to visit and get to know one another. I haven't told Nuuan, I'm going to crash her jamming sessions, lol. I'll get to sing with so many I already enjoyed when working across the U.S. Funny never received one complaint. They all had to be tone deft. For those who want to visit me, I'll be on the farm with all my four legged and two legged friends around me again. Lost too many, it weighs heavily on the soul. I've cried a million tears. Personally it doesn't help and there is always a fresh batch waiting their turn to be released.
Ms Eden if I beat you there, I'll make sure they leave the welcome sign out.

She was a wonderful writer and a wonderful person too. I had and still do have a lot of respect for her and I was deeply saddened to see her name in the list of those we've lost when I returned from my long absence. There were too many names of people I cared about when I returned.

The Last of the Fey was my favorite story of hers; well thought out, well researched, and masterfully written. I plan on buying a copy if I ever have the money to spare, it will be the first book that I do buy. I regret that I could not have gotten to know her better than I did, and that I wasn't here to help comfort others who felt her loss when she was taken from us. She impacted a lot of our lives with both her writing and her kind and caring personality. Wherever she is now, I'm certain that it is a better place, if only because she's there.

She may be absent, but I don't think she will ever be forgotten.

*big hugs*
