I worked a 12 hour day went to check my emails and found one from the TdF organisers about my training in a couple of weeks time. I clicked on the link and it reverted to one that was sent in March or February. I tried to write to them about it and my email provider logged me out, which it's been doing for sometime--one evening it logged me out ten times in as many minutes. I suspect as soon as the UK stages of the TdF are completed I'll be changing my ISP I've had enough. Anyone contemplating using Talktalk - don't, they are complete and utter crap.
Consequently, I've used up my writing time for tonight, I hope tomorrow will be easier. Contrary to some speculation in yesterday's episode, I'm not looking to finish Bike at the moment, but I am extremely busy with work and other commitments and time for my things is very short, including my writing. I'm sorry there's no Bike tonight, but I repeat, I'm not looking to wind it up.

Be careful.
There was an article in today's Grauniad (and probably elsewhere) about a very virulent virus that's temporarily on hold which installs Cryptolocker which locks you out of your files and there's ransom to let you back in. One way of getting infected is if you click on a link within an email ostensibly from a known source (eg TdF). So don't click on email links, go to the web site and make sure your virus protection is up to date. Not a good idea to open email links anyway.

Of course it could be a red herring but always better safe than sorry.
As to ISPs, I've been using BT for some years and now have a high speed, part fibre optic link (25Mb/s) which is proving to b quite good. If you have the most expensive, no-limit version you also get McAffey BT NetProtect Plus which is regularly (daily, at least) firewall, virus protection.

If it's a web based email, I strongly suggest purging your internet browser cache. In fact, do it in the browser, then download CCleaner (available for free from www.piriform.com), and run the base 'cleaner' function. (that dumps the temporary files for the machine, plus the internet cache(s))
The multiple log outs can be because of corrupted cookies.
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

TalkTalk must rate as one of the worst, Customer satisfaction seems to be an alien word to them, Wrong bills endless waits to speak to an agent, You name it and if its negative about that company then its most probably correct.
I spent two years as one of their customers a few years back and if Angharad's experience is anything to go by it seems little has changed. Nowdays i use Virgin which has proved to be the complete opposite of TalkTalk .... They actually seem to like their customers!!
