OK, well a few of you sort of keep track of me and for that I am thankful. So I have "Clear" as an internet service. The landlord pays for it so it is free to me, for which I have been thankful also.
For the last month it has been even more of a cludge than normal and today it is not working at all. I am on the internet using the hotspot from my cell phone and that will be extremely limited.
I can't get Comcast or anyone else because I do not have a signed lease agreement. Hmmmm Until I work this out, there will be no skype, and very limited access to the internet.
I am fine however, just a bit grumpy.

Tough!
Dammit, no Skype.
No chat, no socialising, no companionship. Damn, damn, damn!
Hope to catch you as and when we can. Stay safe watch out for the bears. LOLOLOL X
I think sprint
Has purchased them, so far they have honored my contract but we are in one of there central locations the company is based at.
If your income is low enough you may qualify for the Fed internet low rate access.
But I will be calling them tomorrow to find out if they are shutting down here as well.

Depending...
...on one's relationship with your neighbours, you may be able to work something out with one or another to share their hotspot, assuming that you're close enough to receive one or more, and sociable enough to chat them up. In my own neighbourhood there are almost a dozen within range, and a reasonable collection of "coffeshop" hotspots in the local neighbourhood, including both Comcast and AT&T, my Internet (cable) and cellphone providers respectively, and also including several private hotspots that one can access for the price of a cup of tea. Most Starbucks and McDonalds have them, and many smaller chains, even some shops.

T-Moble Hot Spot
I use Hot Spot on phone when I am out of town and still have cell phone coverage. So, yesterday I went to T-Mobile store to increase my Hot Spot minutes, and instead bought a dedicated Hot Spot for far less than I would pay for home internet.
And for some reason, "Clear" finally pulled their finger out and it has started working again, for now. Some think that they will still go under.
Clear and Sprint and FreedomPop
Clear can't go under, because Sprint purchased the rest of their infrastructure, however they have only agreed to continue support for the 4G Wimax devices (which is probably what your home internet is) till the end of this year I believe. At that point they will finish upgrading the CLEAR infrastructure to their 4G LTE service to improve the sprint network.

P.S. If you have access to CLEAR check FREEDOMPOP they RESELL Clear services for DAMN CHEAP :) but you still get good service and coverage where available.
