As the title shows, I'm looking for someone with good manga-drawing ability. I'm not going to ask someone draw manga with me, I just need someone to draw the characters and the backgrounds.
I will be writing a visual novel titled Magical Girl Aya-chan. It's a story about a boy with magical powers who transformed into a magical girl at night and uses card magics to fight monsters. This is a long term commitment, however, as this game is very complex and will require lots of drawings of characters and backgrounds. This is however, a very ambitious project, as implementing all the codes will take a lot of my time.
To finance this project, I'm working on a smaller, less complex project called Starship Captain. It will have less functions and depth, but still going to be fun to play. Unlike 'real' computer games, visual novel don't require much capital. I was told that a working capital of $100 is more than enough to make a decent visual novel. I do have $100 but I want to try to keep costs low. I've checked at graphic sites and god-damned these people, the usual fee for a single commission consisting one ONE drawing costs as high as $50. Following that, if I buy from these people, the project cost can even go as high as $2000 easily.
That's why, I require a more cost efficient approach. I'm thinking of splitting the percentage of profits. How many percentage is your work, how many percentage is my work and how many percentage for further developments.
Of course, if you can help in other ways in the development of the visual novel, please feel free to talk to me. I'm sure we can work something out. Maybe we can make our own visual novel studio, like Hanako Games and fill the TG and LGBT niche that has not been tapped since X-change series.
