It's that time of the year again and it's time for a prank. Tell us what pranks have ever occupied your day, so much that it made you annoyed for being troubled by it so much.
As for me, there was once upon a time, when I spent the whole day scratching my head, wondering why my laser mouse didn't work. Turns out it was something like this:

I live alone and the office doesn't really do pranks, but you can bet I'll spend some time skimming news websites to try and determine which stories seem slightly suspicious (checking the reporter's name as well - occasionally they'll concoct a fictitious reporter whose name translates as April Fool). Of course, Google will inevitably release a Fool (nothing here yet - may need to wait until midnight California time) and there'll be several suspect edits to Wikipedia articles...
As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!
All The Jokes Are On Us
A few years ago there was a report in the Sunderland Echo claiming that the new bridge across the River Wear would be built so as to play the Blaydon Races every time the wind caught its superstructure. For those unfamiliar with north-east England's local rivalries, I'm sorry but you have no way of understanding just how much of an insult this would have been to those of us who detest the ridiculous idea of the Geordie Nation.
The joke, of course, was that the money for this 'iconic' piece of architecture would ever be forthcoming.

The soda can has the opener tab turned 180 degrees around, so if you try to lift it to open the can, it's on the wrong side.

Pranks for the Memories
I spent time as a counselor in a camp. WARNING: NEVER turn your back on a camp counselor.
Some of my favorites (I speak solely as an observer I would NEVER (yeah right) do any of these:
Bathrooms are always joyous locations. Late at night, mix clear gelatin in hot water. Pour carefully down one side of a toilet bowl. If you do it right, the bottom of the toilet is sealed with Jello. An easier variation, stretch Saran Wrap across the toilet bowl.
Showers also seem to be the loci of fun activities. Several are based on removing the shower head, and placing a)fizzies b)a tiny bit of CENSORED or c)a bottle of food coloring with a slit allowing the dye to dribble out. Red is good. Green is better if your target is blond.
Articles of clothing are always so much fun. Soaking, then freezing a bra is heart warming when run up the flag pole. If you happen to be at a Western themed camp that has horses, placing boots in the middle of a corral, or filling the boots with "road apples" both guarantee hours of hilarity.
Don't get me started on the fun and practical uses of glue.
Uhmm... I think perhaps I should stop here, before I become an un-indicted co-conspirator.
I don't think i can be April
I don't think i can be April fooled anymore, at least that's what we tell people.
the reason is that 19 years ago my wife and i got married at midday on April 1st.
we have just gotten home from a wonderful dinner in celebration.
I'ts an anniversary date that no one would forget, and her initials became G.A.G. partly why the date was so appropriate, there's an amusing story of how we got together and came up with the date that i should write up and post someday.
I like aol's prank
This morning aol's news page reported that "Nasa picks up alien message" with a photo of what resembles a radar dish atop an old-fashioned windmill tower, then a photo of the US President with a message that he would speak to his nation about it and not to panic. An artificial message from 2.3 m lightyears away. First noticed amonth ago but not reported until late on 31st of March.... "
Yeah ? Pull the other one !
I mean, why would intelligent beings want to send messages to us semi-sentient earthlings ? 'Twould be like us trying to have a conversation with a snail.
