Sometimes we wind up so absorbed in ourselves that trying to cope with the present we miss the world. I have been visiting a friend, post-surgery in Charing Cross.
It is a complicated set of feelings. There are girls awaiting surgery, some of whom are crapping themselves, there are those who are doing their best to be positive, there are those who want to run, and under it all lie the voices of the girls who simply answer THAT question.
BECAUSE. Because it's who you are.

I knew what I wanted
from day one, though I had to wait five years for it. I went to surgery with no fear and emerged with no regrets a position I still maintain. I didn't so much see it as being rid of something as recycling it to what it should have been in the first place, or as near as they could make it. That was a long time ago (22 years).
