There is an interesting Article in my local paper, the Broward County Sun_Sentinel regarding a web-based Transgender oriented radio show. Here is the Article title and a link to the article.

Elite women's college rejects transgender student, prompts outcry

It appears that elite liberal East-Coast establishment colleges, can be as narrow minded and bigoted as others.
Why does this not surprise me. Like other issues, if it's in your local school we'll dictate what you need to do, but if it's our school keep out.

Lazy ?

With the college applicant, has she had surgery, been on blockers, taken hormones? What is her voice like? How hard has she worked to BE a woman? You know, there are lots of colleges that would never open their doors to me. If she thinks it's bad now, she should have lived in the 50's when transgender folk were often just killed. There are dozens of colleges she can go to, unless of course she wants a fight and strife in her life.

As far as the radio show goes, the guy seems authentic enough. The woman ... yallah ! It depends on if she wants to live out her life as a trans-woman, or if she wants to be a woman. If she's happy the way she is, and hangs out in gay bars and at home sits around and drinks and smokes weed ...

Some of us, as close to lunacy as it sounds, want to live out our lives as women. I am friends with other women, so do not want to do anything that would set me apart from them. I do insist on wearing skirts or dresses ALL the time, but for once in my life, my Amish background is serving me well. I have not seen any women in my social circle wearing off the shoulder dresses. I still believe that with hard work and diligence, her voice would raise in pitch. The inflections and nuances to the woman's voice can be learned.

Just saying, not to be unkind, but we do have the ability to change.

Hurray for Mark Angelo

Cummings and Jessica Lynn O'Donnell! Wishing them the best! :)
