I think the Afghani word is Berdachi (Dancing boy)
Sounds similar to the Albanian word for similar thing.
Albania is both Christian and Muslim and they hate each other.

I think that's native actually. I think you're thinking of Baccha, which is the Afghan thing where they sexually abuse little boys. Two very different customs.

Word similarity
Native Americans also have a word for trans type people. They call them "two souled" and "Berdache." It's my understanding that many Berdache are also the Medicine Women of certain tribes.
