Sam Valentine comic done in ballpoint
Daniel Ford, the artist on Sam Valentine spent years perfecting a ballpoint pen technique. I taught him to use regular art pens for doing Quillian but he wanted to do Sam V. with his own style. Not as detailed as this guy you linked to, though. :)
I hope that Daniel can get back to working on Sam V. soon, his boss at the shoe repair shop is retiring and he's working a lot learning the business right now.
Hugs,
Erin

Ball Point Art
Wow! This guy is a true artist. Incredible to think that it is all done with humble ball point pens. Truely beautiful.
John.
Yes, definately!
I recognized #6, I've seen it somewhere else recently. As I recall though, that story was more interested in the ball-point pen angle, almost as if you can't do "proper" art using such tools. I have to differ with that opinion, obviously the quality couldn't have been any better using more ordinary tools. It's not just that the works look almost photo-quality, they have a life in them that you can feel. And that marks the difference between a good artist and a Great artist.

How disappointing.
I initially misread the title as "ballpoint penis", and was disappointed to not see any cock. = (
