D.C. Comics has announced that one of their major heroes is going to be "coming out of the closet." The main speculation is that it's... are you ready? BATMAN!!!!!

Batwoman was, before the whole DC Universe revamp thing, was suppose to be Lesbian.

Batwoman was/is lesbian before and after the New 52 reboot. And they treat her decently instead of doing gay for gay's sake unlike Wiccan (Scarlet Witch's son) from Marvel.

Marvel just announced that Northstar is getting married. Source So they can be cool and accepting of Gay Marriage as well. Marvel's one of the worst offenders of wanting to be the cool kid on the block, but being hopelessly a dork.

A better way to do it would have been to have the marriage and not made a stupid announcement to show how inclusive they are.

George gets it and hated jail-he did it because we can not tolerate DARFUR and these human rights violations. GAGA understand this-still it's unfair to expect adults to do it alone. .

George said Darfur was his 'biggest failure" yet it's what meaningful people respect him for. Look at Lady GAGA having to defend Gay people. Hey GAGA one of my heroes was "BORN THAT WAY.' The Rangers are the real world, African, Latinos & Asian & Indians. There's THE BIG BANG MACHINE, HYPER NOVAS & THE PLANET X -all real. With the backdrop of THE RANGER-CORE having nano-technology suits from The Lost Dimension and have incredible and fun powers facing down foes that would make comic book villains cringe-perhaps even faint.

Most stories are predictable; when's the last time an ending surprised you? Just because you take on a fight does not assure success. Anyone that expects this to be a kiddy comic book better go buy the comics that the adults are writing."

The book official releases is July 16, 2012, and is distributed by SUPER SMASH COMIXS and retailers and I'm TRYING to get in the San Diego Comic Con this July 12, 2012.

I think part of the internet just exploded somewhere, for all the years of the "ambiguously gay duo" jokes, but in a way it does sort of make sense in terms of Bruce's psyche profile. Or maybe I'm just reading too far between the lines *giggle*

Um, how old is Robin? While psychologist Frederick Wertham
(THE SEDUCTION OF THE INNOCENTS) made a career out of claiming
that Batman and Robin had a thing for each other I really don't think so.
Bruce might be gay but I refuse to believe he's some fucking pedo chickenhawk.
From what I've seen, if there's one thing that makes him want to forget involving the cops
and dispense some brutal and immediate justice it's the abuse or exploitation of children.
No, there's only one man in Batman's life, a strong goodlooking fella who shares his basic values.
Though they keep their relationship as on the downlow as their secret identities...

The current Robin, if I'm not mistaken, is Damien Wayne, Bruce's teenage son.

...perhaps a temporary change in behavior, but becoming 'gay' because of some form of Kryptonite? What color? Chartreuse? Magenta? If DC used that as a premise for a change of sexual orientation, it would be a foolish and highly insulting plot contrivance. You know?

We already have a gay Batman - he's called Midnighter of Stormwatch. :-) Personally, I very much doubt it will be one of the DC Trinity. I think the word used to describe the character who would be gay was "iconic". I'd be surprised if it wasn't more the Aqauaman kind of level. Famous and distinctive but not with a movie in production...

When Marvel made Northstar come out of the closet, the backlash was unbelievable, and he was a supporting character in a lesser known book that took place in Canada, for heaven's sake. So I have trouble believing it will be anyone major. I read an interesting take on Superman called "just one of the guys" once, and in it the version of Supes says he's effectively asexual, because we and him arent the same species. Wonder woman is a possibility, because after all she came from an island of woman only, and I'm assuming that the girls there at least experimented with fooling around with each other.
