And her favorite way of dealing with stress tends to be by giving stress to someone else. For example, when my mother woke me up in a panic shortly after I had gotten asleep yesterday to ask me what to do about the dog, and I suggested a vet and went back to bed, Apparently I was supposed to go with her, despite needing my sleep for my night shift. This led her to say there isnt much feminine about me, either now or in the past. Somehow the fact that I held down a job as a nurse's aid for 10 years doesnt count. Ah, well

Think of it as one of the steps towards acceptance. :-}

I have a sister with the same attitude.
She was always using my situation to get her own way in order for me to be amicable to her demands.
I almost always towed the line and gave in.
One day I had an epiphany and realised she was manipulating me. I decided no more.
Although I refer to her in the past tense she is still in the land of the living but once she realised I was not playing her games we soon parted company.
I always think of her as a "dramma queen" whenever I think about her.
