Hey BC, last week I had a go at shaving my legs for the first time. Turns out it was a bad idea as I was unprepared, though I managed not to cut myself at least. My advice if you have lots of hair have a bag full of disposable razors at the ready. I blunted mine before I got past my knees and whilst it could still handle the longer hairs it could no longer get the stubble; that was itchy for a while. I fixed it by buying some hair removal cream so I'm fine now. Probably should have asked for some advice before I tried but whats done is done.

nair is the way

I always prefer nair, the only thing is be careful to use some glove or you can blister your fingers.

Writing is what you do when you put pen to paper, being an author is what you do when you bring words to life

Ahhh ...yeah....

If it's that harsh, logic would tell me to avoid it. The wife prefers 'Veet' as they have a formula for sensitive skin and I've yet to see her use gloves or see rashes (really burns) on her skin.

When You First Start

Never...

...had a problem with a razor. I use a woman-specific multi-blade job in the bath or shower.

I just used ...

... my old Remington electric shaver the few times I shaved my legs when I did a bit of cycle racing in 1980s and I think so did the other guys. Didn't do it for very long as it was a boring chore.

btw when I say old I mean over 50 years :) I haven't shaved anywhere since 1962ish when I decided a beard would stop me being tempted to 'dress' and it did ... except in my head.

Permenant?

I don't know if you plan on shaving more often, but I have had laser hair removal done and I've been very happy with the results. The hair has come back in finer and it definately grows in slower. It is kinda costly but with the results I know I've been saving on razors and shaving cream. Maybe you can look into it near you or if you'd like some advice on the place I go to I'd be more than willing to talk.

Me' I'm a hairy guy, so shaving my body would dull a truckload of razors.
