Well, my confidence in my abilities had taken a hit thanks to the struggles I had with "Between one step and the next", but the two short pieces I've done since has given me a bit of a boost in this area. Hopefully, that means I can tackle a longer work now.

You know the drill. Write it out, put it away for a bit. Go back and look at it with a fresh eye....oh bugger that's me and Angharad stuffed!
Seriously, just enjoy the process. No writing is ever wasted.

I know that you can do it.

We all have times...
When we wonder if what do is worth the doing when it comes to writing. We just have to face the fact that how a story is received involves timing as much as anything else. If there is a glut of the same type when you post, you aren't going to get a huge response. Subject matter is another thing that counts there. A lot of my stories don't get a lot of comments because of that, I know it and just let it go.
You write well, you ask questions of others if you run into a roadblock.
These times when you wonder are normal. I'm glad you feel better about your writing again.

The Way You Learn to Write is to ...
Is to write and write a lot. I have a typewritten manuscript from the early 90s and I have to say it just sucks. The author was whinny and weak and should have just given up.
