Well I had what I thought was going to be minor foot surgery , but it turned out to be a 2 hour marathon I didn't know a thing I was out cold it is now 8:30 PM and the foot is just waking up should be a painful night(that is what pain meds are for)So goodnight everybody and thanks for being part of this wonderful BCTS family---HUGS & KISSES RICHIE2

I have to go in next Thursday to have my Achilles tendon stretched, which just doesn't sound like a whole heap of fun. I tried to convince her to "slip" and cut something which I don't want that sits a bit higher, but no go. Crap.

"I will not utilize my obsessive study of the anatomy of the groin to perform the less invasive version of a certain surgery upon myself. I will not utilize connections at several medical supply houses in the area and the few dollars I have scraped together for bus fares to obtain the incredibly inexpensive equipment necessary to perform said surgery upon myself. I will not make use of the several gallons of surgical-grade disinfectant solutions divided among several first responder and first aid/emergency field kits to clean said tools and the regions where incisions would be made in order to perform said surgery upon myself. I will not do this, because if I do I may very well forfeit future support from the psychiatric community in dealing with my gender issues, because I do not have a medical degree (making the performing of said surgery upon myself criminally prosecutable, should someone decide to do so), and because several of my friends have kindly offered to kill me if I do, or to raise me from the dead in order to kill me if I manage to die first."

Urgh surgery sucks, hope you feel better soon, one thing you can be happy about - at least it's not me lol no seriously hope your better soon. Sadly it might be me soon, just another nerve conduction study done a year after I had surgery to free my ulnar nerve and the news wasn't good.
They said last time they could barely get a signal they said 30 as a figure but I'm unsure what that means, this time the study showed 32 and he said I'm probably going have to have the surgery done again. Worse yet is my right arm the nerves are apparently borderline so I may have one day have surgery on that arm too.
So I definitely don't envy you at the moment, hopefully the painkillers are helping :)
