Well, I have discovered I am getting an honest-to-God side effect from my T-Blockers. Mainly, I am almost continually thirsty. I've been taking a 1 liter bottle of water to work with me, and a can of pop, and usually polish off both over the course of a night. At home, I'm drinking a glass of milk, a glass of orange juice, a glass of apple juice, a TON of water, and occasionally, a pop. Darn if I can figure out where all this fluid is going, I'm not peeing THAT often.....

You might check your blood sugar, as well.
That was the first sign of my Diabetes, and I really wish I hadn't ignored it. I hope I'm way off, but it's best to check!

I second that. Go see your
I second that. Go see your doctor, or at least call to check.
Diabetes sucks.
To use a lame expression, I third that...
...if you're seeing an endocrinologist already, discuss the impact the blockers may have on your body. If you are like me and have Type II, that combined with your other meds could certainly be impacting you. With the changes you're undergoing in all aspects of your life, and reflecting upon your recent blog entries, you certainly might consider how reducing or ceasing anti-depressants may have affected you recently. Even if you no longer require them, your body may have gotten used to them sufficiently enough to be affected with any change. Having an endocrinologist is helpful for all the changes your body may be undergoing; not just the hormonal. I'm praying.

Spironolactone
Spironolactone is a diuretic, and will help lower blood pressure.
By all means see a doctor and keep hydrated.

Diuretic
Sprio is a diuretic, so I presume you are urinating more often. There are other anti-androgens available that don't have that affect, but have others. I am on a cyproterone acetate (androcur), but that can be depressive for some and can have a bad effect on the liver for others.

What do you do

ou may be
I know your job is at night and at Wal-Mart. What do you do? I know you have customer contact, but do you also do any heavy work. Unloading trucks, etc. If so that may effect liquid intake.
But as everyone else says, see a doctor, especially the one who has you on the T-blockers. The doc may need to adjust dosage.

If it's spiro...
If it's spiro, it's no surprise... It's a diuretic. A liter of water's not enough! You should be going through almost 4 liters a day.
(My Nephrologist had to clear me for continuing my spiro... She said FINE, as long as I drank (WATER - or water equivalent) like a fish! LOL
Lots to look at. Be sure to notify your doctor(s) about ANY changes in how you are feeling/etc. No telling when something you say may trigger them to check something. These meds we take really play havoc with our bodies... Not ALL of it is necessarily beneficial.
Good Luck,
Anne
