Don't be stunned. Be thankful, and happy, he loves you and is willing to accept you as you wish and need to be. Remember, you also need to cut him some slack. He will likely fail on occssion to treat you as a she and not a he. If he uses your birth name, and not your new name, it is probably out of habit, and not an attack or being mean.
