Many, many years ago—it was around 1959—I visited the resident reindeer herd in the Cairngorms. I was up there on a skiing trip and we met up with a chap called Edwin in a bar one evening and discovered he was the reindeer herder. He invited us to meet the reindeer and said we should bring some Ryvita^®, because reindeer find it absolutely irresistible. It was true, he were standing up there on the mountainside, upwind of where the beasties were, waving Ryvita^® in the air and they all came running.

Must be a change from their normal diet of lichen.

So give Rudolph a treat tonight and leave a couple of Ryvita for her. (Only female reindeer retain their antlers at Christmastime)
