As I began to plan out what I am now calling "Monsters in the Dark" I thought I would be including it as chapter 13 of Through Death:Rebirth
There are two problems with that idea, however. While it does provide some necessary background information to Earth4, it isn't a direct part of the story, or I should say, it isn't part of this story.
What "Monsters in the Dark" is, however, is the prologue for Row on Row. I know. There was no prologue written for Through Death, Rebirth since I started writing with chapter one. When I finish the first pass I will think about what I could write, if anything, that will add depth to the story.
Back to "Monsters in the Dark": This story will not have any main characters for either Through Death, Rebirth or Row on Row.
It is a glimpse into a conflict that has been running since Earth4:2204.
I know, no TG characters in this, but it explains why the characters are not being inundated right now with soldiers or even guards.
Writing it now, and I will post it when I get done :)

With a title like that, if you can wait a few days before posting, it shouldn't be too hard to tweak it so it fits the October Contest theme... :)

Contest
I have something else entirely planned for the contest. I plan on something between 7k and 12k words entitled: "I was a teenage FtMtF Transexual".
Loosely based on themes introduced in the late 50s I was a teenage movies. I have ten days to complete, and revise, before I will be submitting. A little bit of corn makes a lot of popcorn :)
I don't do suspense well, but I can usually pull off bad parody.
