I seriously considered not writing a chapter today. Not because I wasn't interested in what had happened to the Jamies, but more that I was interested what was happening with another teenager.

I was given an interesting late birthday present today. It was a freshman work by a local author entitled I am not a Serial Killer

It is about a sociopathic teen trying his best not to become a Serial Killer.

My point here is not to give a review of said book, since it's subject material is not apropos of this site, although it is an enjoyable read.

Yes, I already read it. At 2pm, I was at about 800 words, and the story was going nowhere when I was given the book. The giver knows I am a bit of a closet goth, I stopped wearing cake makeup and all black in the late 80s. I moved into drama to keep my makeup skills alive.

Back to my story.

At 6pm, I was about halfway done, and wanting nothing more than to finish the book. Knowing I would have to sleep sometime, I was going to leave off chapter 12 to tomorrow, or finish something and put up a short chapter.

Then a third option occurred to me. I had been reading the book slowly, for me. I kicked it up to full speed, and was done by 7pm. It's not long, only 271 pages.

When I finished, I was ready to write, and the story flowed a lot better.
