Yes...it actually happened!
Twins and younger sister actually were abused. I worked with both boys on separate occasions when I was a therapist. One of the brothers and the sister ended up in good caring homes within their state's foster care system. The other brother went to a group home where he thrived as well. Thanks again for hanging in there and reading this to the end. I hope I did them justice.

that the real people recovered. I wondered if they could ever come back from such horror...
The fact of the matter is, as you well know
...that recovery from this horror is nearly always a life-long process where healing comes in small slow increments as the brain is able to heal itself by exploring the memories and consigning them to the past. Hopefully anyone who has read this or any other similar story here or elsewhere will seek help for their hurt if they haven't already. Thanks.
