Here I am working on getting T&T caught up with VC (and I'm getting real close!), and now I've come up with another side story for VC! It's an idea I've had in the back of my mind for a while, though not necessarily as another side story. But much of what happens to this character will remain separate from the rest of the gang, so a side story really seems like the only way to go. So, Friday I'll be posting the first chapter of A Father's Rebirth.

Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment, I know. As if I didn't have enough stories to work on! On the plus side, this won't delay the restart of VC for long, as the first chapter will be linked to chapter 89 of VC. Since the latter chapters tend to cover a shorter amount of time, that means it probably won't take more than a few chapters to catch up. It'll still be a little while, though, since T&T hasn't quite caught up yet, and that's when including the four chapters I have in my buffer!

Yes, I have a buffer again! Now if I can only keep that going this time... On the plus side, since I'll be posting A Father's Rebirth Friday, those four chapters will still be in the queue so anything I write between now and then will add to the buffer. With the shorter chapters of VC and its side stories, there is a very good chance the buffer will continue to grow. If it does get big enough, I'll increase my posting schedule to every 6 days instead of every 7. Not much, I know, but I'm going to take it easy so as not to stress myself out again.

This doesn't mean that I'm ignoring my other stories. I've put in a little work on Boys Will Be Boys and Arena this week, though admittedly not that much. But I'll continue to work on all my other stories, too. I may focus a little more on VC stories for a while because that's where my muse seems to be at right now, but the other stories will continue. I'm particularly interested in working on Boys Will Be Boys some more, because some of the things poor John will be dealing with kind of resonate with how I was feeling (and still am a little if I'm honest) and I feel like writing that may be helpful. Also, a book two is already in my head. Like I said, a glutton for punishment. ;)

I hope those waiting for my other stories can be patient, but at least there will continue to be stories posted by me in the meantime, if that helps? Who knows, if VC and its stories really take off again, I might whittle down my posting schedule to every three or four days! (I'll take my time getting there, if that happens, though.)
