song challenged
as a lyrically challenged author, I had thought to not participate in this, and still may, or may not, but I noted in passing that the starting blog and the entries have not made note in the more short cuts link group, Could some one add them??
The list just got longer!
I scribbled several entries, but labelled them with "February 2009 Music Motif Challenge". I've just been back and added them to the "Based-on-a-Song Challenge" contest, so now appear at ~/based-song.
And if anyone hasn't figured out where I hid the list of nursery rhymes used in "Rhyme Stew", try highlighting the gap between the header and the story...
As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!
Why?
Is this a contest, or just a topic to challenge the authors' creative skills? I thought it was a "challenge", no voting, no awards or first, second, or third places, etc.

Yes...you're absolutely correct! It isn't a contest...Sorry!
It is a challenge...there is no voting, there are no awards (Unless you'd like Monopoly money..I've got plenty of it) ... No second, third or even places ad infinitum, as everyone places first. Accolades all around.
It's Jill's fault...Jill's I tell you...Okay, so we both put this together. I misspoke! Oopsies?
She was born for all the wrong reasons but grew up for all the right ones.

Yeah, she has this thing about contests
Sometimes I feel like Karen_J does about contests.
Must be channeling George C Scott.
I have this seed of an idea but I KNOW people will lynch me if I ...
Did you ever realize that the Beatles wrote some TG songs?
I mean
" ... Suddenly, I'm not half that man I used to be ..."
Better not go with that, huh?
No objections to a challenge, though. Just hate to pick one story over another.

P.S. Dad and his older brother drove safely to southern Alabama, an hour or less from Pensacola FLA. They're on their way to the Everglades, maybe the Keys.
So you in the states between here and there can breathe easy for now.

Hey dad's a great driver for someone almost 83.

John, Don't forget Sweet
John,
Don't forget Sweet Loretta Martin thought she was a woman, but she was another man.
Maybe I didn't need to apologize to Sir Paul for my "Mother Nature's Girl"
Hugs,

Me and my BIG mouth, sorry Karen
Karen simply wanted a clarification as to was this a challenge or contest.
I read more into her request for clarification than was there and if I have hurt anyone I am ashamed.
I cannot and should not speak for others, that is plain rude. My apologies to Karen_J, who I respect.
A word of explanation on my POV.
It's just, at least in my case, that I find it hard to choose one over another.
Challenges are GREAT, stirs the creative juices yet keeps the pressure off. A contest can lead to hurt feelings on the part of the *losers*. I don't mean BC should be like the Special Olympics but it is hard to choose, at least for me.
Embarrassed.

songs that could be tg
"Paint it black" by the Rolling Stones - "I see the girls go by, dressed in their summer clothes/I have to turn my head, untill my darkness goes"
"Synchronicity II" by the Police - "Secretaries pout and preen like cheap tarts on a red light street, but all he thinks to do is watch"
"No Son of Mine" by Genesis - "You walked out, you left us behind/Now you are no son, no son of mine"
I am sure there are hundreds.
