Happy New Year...

Last night marked the traditional Celt New Year's Eve. So that they might entice new adherants to the 'new faith', early Christina disciples would incorporate Pagan holidays into the religious calendar and give them 'new names'.

Last evening also marked the first anniversary of the departure of the two of the three closest and most beloved souls in my meager life.

My husband (May his soul not wander) and my former guardian (may she know only peace)were in the third car to cross an intersection when a 7400lb. SUV slammed into 'Mea's' little BMW at more than sixty miles and hour. The driver was drunk and had a suspended license. They never knew what had happened. He walked away unharmed.

I dreaded the approach of last evening and what it might bring. It seems that my mimi melt down in fact occurred last week. So, last evening came and went with a feeling of loss, but not anger or great pain.

II was able to light my candles for their souls to have the light of rememberance, and to utter a few ancient words in my people;s anciemt tongue.

II spoke to my remaining former guardian by phone to learn that she too had a rough time last week, but was able to do the same as I without faling apart. She did raise a glass to each and then one too my good health, as is our custom. She too is still pained but no longer does she feel her anger or anguish.

OOur mourning will never end, but it does lesten with the flooding of the good memories of our faithful departed, and our own healing. Blessed Be!!!

A Thousand Blessings To All Here...
