When I started writing Luck Be A Lady, it was begun as a take-off on an idea presented to me by Prudence Walker. When I began telling the tale, I had an ending in mind.
However, as all who write know, sometimes the best intentions end up unfulfilled. Such is the case with this story.
As I progressed through the chapters, it became glaringly obvious to me that the ending I had originally planned, would simply not work with the direction the story had taken.
I never intended to post it as a serial, or a story arc. It was supposed to be completed in one fell swoop. It didn't work out that way, as should be obvious.
Personal tragedies and other real life happenings, led the story hither and yon until it was almost out of my control. Mea culpa.
When the story itself dried up in my mind, I left it, hoping I could return to it at some future date and finish it. That didn't happen either.
My final acceptance of who and what I really am, got in the way also. The long, sometimes painfully slow, process of becoming who I am today, led me in other directions and the story lay languishing in a couple of sites.
I had, a few years back, requested Erin to re=post all my work to Top Shelf, so everything would be available to whatever fans I might have. Again, real life issues caused delay after delay in the re-postings and I simply forgot about it for the most part, figuring that Erin would get around to it when she had the time, a commodity she has precious little of, by the way.
When it first showed up on the front page, a week or so ago, I was surprised, and I contacted Sephrena to see what she knew about it. She said she was finally catching up to the request I had made long ago.
I approved the re-posting, but wanted it made clear, in the header, that it was a re-post, not a new story. For whatever reason, that didn't happen, leading new readers who had never seen or read the story to believe it was a new posting from me. That has been corrected and the header now clearly states that it is a re-post.
If any blame is to be place for any of this, it is mine. I should have insisted on the notification in the header.
Again, my apologies to the readership, and to you personally, for allowing the uncertainty initially and for not following through on it.
I offer the same apologies to anyone currently reading Transformers (Sort Of) since that story is also stalled with no end in sight.
Re: my blog entry. I will re-iterate here that I will no longer post ANY work until and unless it is complete.
Thanks for your interest and comments.

Thank You...
...for answering my question, and clearing up some confusion.
All the best,

Hi Cathy T!!!
I saw the repost and have been checking along with the chapters to see where I left off....
It is good to see that your story is being posted AND that you have become who you longed to be!!! Congratulations on both!!
Isn't it amazing how a story, well thought out and planned in the beginning suddenly makes a left turn and takes on a life of it's own? My current attempt is doing that. It's part of the problem with coming up with successive chapters. They go off in a direction you don't expect and then you have to create the story from there to try and move it back to the original story line.
Sometimes it works and sometimes, it's just a distant memory.
However!! KEEP WRITING!!!
I do, even if it's just a little at a time.
Huggs,

S'alright hon
I went and looked the story up on Storysite (?) after it started appearing here, slipping ahead to peek at the last chapter. Honestly, I found it intriguing. But it is your baby, and you should do whatever makes you feel best.
Go give Ariel a hug from all of us here on BC, and I hope things go more smoothly for you and her both.
