There is a story here, presently at chapter 29 named Dear Rylee. This is one of the best stories I have read on BC and I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone reads it. It's heartfelt and somewhat autobiographical to boot, and it will make you cry at times. Also, read the comments under the story. Many of the writers here are blown away by this story, and to have your peers support you is a great thing.

So can you give a synopsis of the story and maybe explain why it is worth a read?

Kimmie, it's a largely autobiographical story of a young transwoman who escapes abusive parents and -- after living on the street for a brief and brutal period -- breaks into a house to get a shower and maybe some food. She is caught by the woman who lives there alone, but in an amazing act of grace, the woman has her stay, gives her a home and tries to give her back the life that's been taken from her.
It is an amazing read. The characters are real, three-dimensional, and incredibly well crafted. They are believable, and you want to believe in them. The scenes are drawn with a careful and detailed touch, and the writing over all is absolutely top-notch. Finally, the story itself is just incredibly powerful and moving. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Don't get me wrong, Kimmie -- I want you to read my new story! :D But if you have to pick one thing to read, pick Dear Rylee.

"Dear Rylee" is a compulsive read, right from the first part.
So, begin at the beginning and carry on from there. Don't allow youself to be put off by apparently irrelevant episodes, you will find that they are not.

This story is crafted in such a way that you can't not read the next installment. Yes, many of the chapters are flash backs that interrupt the current action. This is actually a stroke of genius. There is a huge backstory behind the action and if it were laid out in the beginning in a linear fashion, you'd be board to tears waiting for something to happen, but these chapters are interspersed so that as the need to know the motivations of the characters is brought in to focus at the time it's needed. All done to give the character some real depth.

Dear Rylee is finished, but this is just the first part. I have several installments planned and I've written the first three chapters of 'Dear Ariel'. Dear Ariel explores Ariel's life in a small Michigan town as an LGBT advocate - no doubt inspired by her experience with her younger sister Rylee. In addition to that, Rylee, Tori, Fiona, and Anette are main characters who have their own separate arc as they try to bring the two siblings back together in a meaningful way. The first chapter is already on my patreon(https://www.patreon.com/Audrissa), but it will appear on Scribblehub at the end of the week (July 1st). Keep in mind that it will appear on BC around the same time, but these chapters are 10-11k words apiece, so they take time to edit.
