I've recently gotten to know Devon Hoffman, the director, author and actor in The Eyes of Time

I got to attend a special preview showing of Chapter 5, Immaculate Citadel, with her at a local art theater.

There is a small but growing amount of transgender content on TV and the movies. But it is not very often that we the authors get to see our work displayed on the big screen. This is not a Hollywood or even Netflix level production. But it has some beautiful outdoor and location photography from Northern New Mexico. And it is performed by a local theater company from New Mexico.

I won't really spoil the story, but it does involve a gender transition, with Devon playing both roles.

As Devon describes it,

The Eyes of Time is a sprawling epic about a group of time travelers who get thrust into an extra-dimensional conflict. Taking place across podcasts, film, and the occasional multimedia installation, this story is more than any single hero or tale. It is of our world, of you, of us—and unfolding in all directions out from there. Set within northern New Mexico and drawing from intergenerational local creators, the world of the Eyes of Time is essential culture: alive, immediate, personal, and prophetic.
