This was a TV series. I only saw a couple episodes but was fascinated. A doctor who is head of a medical team solves unsolvable patient problems by being unorthodox himself. In this particular episode his patient is sick and no one can figure out why as he gets sicker each day. For a spoiler, the patient is innersex. The final sentence is when Dr. House is being his usual obnoxious self. "Just because your son is a freak of nature doesn't mean you have to treat him like one."
The series started in 2005 before transgender became a favorite football for main stream media and the tabloids. It was still much a jungle to find transgender support in most states and places but others were finally accepting. I'll have to look at my notes to see when the labs in the Scandinavian nations dumped the news in the Scientific Medical Journals the difference in male and female brain and MtF trans were living with a female brain not male. It was only a few years before this show.
The final sentence is the best polarization of the two opposite sides of what people thought of transgender and the worse was yet to come as we are now living in an age where politicians in some states know more than Medical Science and have passed laws we are not part of the human race deserving of medical care. Any doctor or care providers, hospitals who provide care will be fined and or imprisoned.
This is so illegal there is no way this can stand but until it is shut down in the courts it will stand. I hope an emergence hold on the laws denying trans care is filed in courts in every state until this can be thrown out but I'm not holding my breath. It will have to climb up to the Nation's Supreme Court and shut down to stop this but again, not much hope in the interim.
Trans activist pushed too hard and this is the backlash. Every child who acts out isn't trans. To give hormones and surgery to those who are only rebelling against everything is condemning them to a life of hell. The same we who are trans have lived because we received no support and only condemnation for who and what we are. We demanded too much, pushed to hard for support to be accepted. The numbers to be a threat to any politician who doesn't like us aren't there. We have very few friends who won't toss us overboard for their own agenda.
For my sisters, I wish I had more hope, more solid advice. In some states a P.O. Box is a residence. If possible and maybe the only way, get one. Put out a search for sisters in that state for a doctor who will write your prescriptions sent to your mailbox. Have forwarding address so the mail is sent on to you if you are in one of those states shutting off transgender support. They haven't shut down our mail yet because we are trans. Don't give them any ideas.
This will take a year or more to work through the courts. I can't imagine in my wildest dreams any court agreeing to these illegal laws denying medical support to a particular class of people. These governments have proven we are just that, a class of people. They passed laws against us as a class of people. Survive, I know you're good at that. You made it this far. I love each and every one of God's Chosen no matter what.

The deepest wound, the sharpest cut doesn't come from a blade of steel. It comes from our friends who abandoned us, turned against us. Those who would turn their backs when they look at us.

Dr. Greg House was no friend to the intersexed
In another episode he had another intersex patient, a teenage girl with CAIS;
who had cancerous testes inside her body that various things like opioid addiction
were masking. As I recall she was a bit of a bitch, and a real manipulator but that didn't
excuse his gleefully sadistic misgendering of her ("We're just gonna cut your balls off
and you'll be fine, Dude. Ha Ha"). He was an absolute + total shit to the girl at a time when she
was reeling from a devastating blow to everything she had believed about who she was.
And for the rest of the program's run I never forgave him for it. It was way beyond
the pale of his usual misanthropy toward the patients he had no compassion for,
or any of the rest of us lesser mortals who weren't an arrogant self-centered
junky puke like him. Being a genius doesn't give someone permission
to be a dick of that magnitude. Entertaining show but I'm really glad
he wasn't a real person. Half the patients he saved would have
been driven to suicide from exposure to his toxic personality.
Here's an essay from the Intersex Society of North America

Words Escape Me
How can one respond to something as gross and degrading as that? Did reading that turn my stomach physically? Honestly it made me sick. I've been attacked verbally and threatened physically but that was personal. That show attacked everyone who wasn't born a perfect male or female. The same as many politicians are doing today. The poison fed to the public today started many years earlier. They won't listen to us, they like the juicy stuff from the tabloids.
Intimidation and violence against gay and transgender Americans has spread, driven heavily extremism experts say, by inflammatory political messaging. The NYTimes has written several articles against transgender. https://www.npr.org/2023/02/15/1157181127/nyt-letter-trans
Where is the silver lining in this Dark Cloud?

Dr House….
These days it wouldn’t matter how brilliant Dr House is. No Hospital would employ him. I’ve seen lesser versions of him sent packing. Narcotic security would catch him pretty quickly also and then he’d loose his medical license. That show was all fantasy.

“House” could have been a good show
I suppose those who find in real life insufficiently many abusive assholes, enjoy it.
