I just got a medical bill for $995 for a procedure last summer that I thought the insurance had paid. I'm going to find out what's going on before I pay them anything.
But in other news, it's the end of the month, there are bills due and coming due, and we have $150 in our accounts, company and my personal account added together.
Thanks for any help you can send. All contributions are very welcome.
Paypal contributions come straight to our accounts.
Hugs,
Erin, Piper, Jamie, Cat, Ashly, Rasufelle and the rest of the crew

Water damage sucks
We're recovering from the pinhole leak and have discovered that the copper pipes (Type M) in the house we purchased 5 yrs ago are beyond their lifespan. Thus we're preparing sometime in the next couple months to repipe the whole house. Fun, right?
Anyway, $50 on its way to aid our water damage suffering comrades. :/
Thanks!
We had the roof patched and resealed and the indoor ceiling tiles removed, plus most of the contents of two closets pulled out and about half discarded. Still waiting for the inner structure to be thoroughly dry to re-install ceiling tiles.

Only $15 this time
I just finished my mid-month shopping and had $18 left on my debit card.
Bought 2 slices of 7/11 pizza on the way home, so here's $15 via Paypal.
(Not great pizza but it's better than no pizza, especially after adding
olives, onions, tomato + arbol chiles to the existent pepperoni
and giving them a 75 second reheat...)

Kicking in a some more
Sending the usual 'For B.C.' envelope to Joisey tomorrow for a bit more. Since this is via M.O. you get the entire amount and not only 92% of it. :)
I have been procrastinating on my own roofing stuff as I have a house built in 1995 so I am due PLUS i have a 250 sq ft garage with a less sloped roof which according to an ex-roofer means it ages faster and may be REALLY over due for a reshingling. Joy. So money is going to be a really big issue for me soon so I cannot do any big contributions and such.
Thanks, hon!

Just sent $100
but, if I may ask, and just out of curiosity, just what is the electric rate out there in your part of CA? Here in my little part of MO it is a weird bill:
Winter Elec Energy Chg 0-750 kWh-Residential $66.08
Winter Elec Energy Chg >750 kWh-Residential $99.52
Electric Customer Charge - Residential $9.14
Renewable Energy Adjustment $0.85
Fuel Adjustment Charge $15.26
Energy Efficiency Investment Charge $8.92
Current Charge $199.77
So, the rate is:
66.08/750 = 0.08810666666
99.52/(2434-750)= 0.05909738717
ish. if my math skills are still working. Anyway, it's not like it's high because of snow or anything, it never snows except in the mountains, or so I've been told /side_eyed_glance. But after waking up covered in snow one year in AZ and a tsunami the next year (with our bus commandeered as an emergency heating and triage shelter), I don't reckon any of the stories are near the truth any more. Y'know, it's almost like the climate is changing or somethin'!
Be well and stay safe,
Hugs!
Diana
Rates
The SCE website seems to be carefully designed to keep you from finding out what the rate you are paying actually is. On top of that, it says paperless billing info is unavailable at this time, so it beats the shit out of me what the rate is. I don't have a paper bill to look at since I had signed up for paperless billing. Sorry.
Hugs,
Erin

No problem, was just curious
And yeah, my utility company ain't hiding it as well as yours apparently is. It's almost like they are hiding something.
And just found a Rate page from CPUC and used my old CA home area and GOOD GRAVY! HOW MUCH?!? I was bitching about a 200'ish utility bill. The same amount of electricity there would be 836.93! Will try soonest to get you more...
