Big Question - I just received a PM from someone who purchased Being Invisible and they report that the book acted 'wonky' ( a technical term). The person said that the font changed from their preset 11 point to 7 without warning.
If you have purchased the book, or are reading it on your Kindle, please help me out and look.
Let me know if the problem is on my end.
Thank you kind people,
Leslie

Recent Kindle App Update
Reset my sepia background to standard white.
At least the fixed the delete library at every update
Amazon fonts
Amazon Kindle quirkily resets fonts to their housebrand Bookerly (a Palatino clone), but generally at 11 or 12 pt. But the user can override this behavior. The end user, not the publisher. So this sounds to me like a headset problem, meaning the user's trouble is likely between their earpieces. :)

= Give everyone the benefit of the doubt because certainty is a fragile thing that can be shattered by one overlooked fact.
I've just completed it ...
... but I read it on my PC with the free Kindle Application rather than on a separate Kindle. There were a few font changes - both style and size but they didn't last and didn't detract too much from the read. It was slightly disconcerting, though. No idea where the blame lies.
btw the title to this thread threw me for a moment (ie until I read the text). I wondered how Amazon rendered anyone invisible :)
I enjoyed the read but I felt the characters were too perfect and lacked some depth. They were all bright, ultimately beautiful and seemingly perfect in every respect. No-one's that perfect except me ... and I'm not sure about even me :)

thanks
it's a fairy tale; fluff like you'd find on the Hallmark Channel; once Ethan gets past his year-long self-punishment, it's just a sweet story
and yes, you are perfect
I like sweet stories
so this is great!
on the web
using their web reader @ read.amazon.com, the font switches in the epilogue, but I've only just been jumping around to try to answer the question and haven't had time to read it. I chose Ember (san serif) and the epilogue has a serif font.
In chapter 8, the font changes again to a much larger font.
These are just two that I've seen in randomly looking around.
In Library
I have it in my library but haven't read it yet. However with regards to font sizes and stuff I've noticed the kindle app on android as well as the read.amazon site both have font sizes all over the place on many different books I read... I always assume it's an app/site issue and not to do with the books. So I'm pretty much always adjusting the font size from book to book and midbook to find the size I like.
Failing Eyesight
I read just lots, and don't have a Kindle but use my desktop instead. I've thought about a laptop but have not been able to sort how it would all work here at home. I'm finding out all I can because Cataracts have reared their ugly heads, and there is another issue with the back of my eyes. I'm hoping to learn enough to be able to run larger fonts as the need arises.

I use huge fonts on a large monitor
it works fairly well, not perfectly, but I do a lot of kindle reading. I use a black background and find it easier on my eyes
I found the green in daytime
I found the green in daytime and sepia background in the evening work for ease on the eye strain. Also in a browser you can always zoom on the page to increase font size beyond what is in the settings if need be.
