I can't say that I'm a big Ru Paul fan. But the other day I was looking on FOX for the right's reaction to the Jan 6 Investigation and saw a clip of Nancy Pelosi. The anchor stopped saying inflation, inflation, inflation, inflation, inflation, inflation just long enough to suggest that the Pelosi clip would make a powerful campaign commercial. . .for the right.
Where do you think the hate groups in Idaho (Patriot Front), who were arrested before attacking a pride picnic -- get their encouragement?
I'm not suggesting the Republican party actually hates trans . . . however they certainly have made us into a wedge issue.
If you're going to get bent into a pretzel defending the Second Amendment, shouldn't you be just as defensive of the First Amendment?

Although I don't get vote
I think I have been against the Republican party for ethical reasons. Since Trump came on the scene and captured the GOP they seem to be in need of a spine, I hope they find one, one day.

Some of my best friends are Republicans. One of my financial partners in a large business venture was a Republican Governor.
I respect the Republican (conservative) viewpoint. One of the things I've always liked about the conservative viewpoint is its desire for small government. For example, I'm against single-payer health insurance.
The latest polls I've seen have indicated that the majority of Republicans support same-sex marriage (55%). This would suggest that the rampant anti-trans legislative actions taken in Republican states are pure politics and not reflective of the party members' view.
I think most Republicans are like Barbie -- and just want to live their lives without government interference. Along these lines, even though Republicans tend to be heavily religion influenced, 34% of Republicans don't want Roe v Wade overturned.
For the most part, I don't like the two-party system and wrote a novel based on the need for more parties.
I saw a proposal the other day that suggested the US split into two countries with the blue states combining with Canada. That might make some sense as the current situation is becoming untenable.
For the most part, I wouldn't care if the Republican leader verbiage wasn't becoming so anti-trans.
