Hello out there,
Made a lot of headway last night. Wrote around 2k words for Walker's Path.
Generally, I write while I'm downstairs and lately I've been spending a lot of time upstairs. That is until we found a rat digging around in our pantry. My dad set out some poison and the rat ate it. It died in a wall somewhere near my room. So needless to say I'm not spending much time in my room anymore.
I'm both happy and sad. Sad because I am not spending as much time with my friends anymore and happy because I'm actually getting some writing done.
We have a free downstairs bedroom but there's not enough room for a desk or anything like that. I am sleeping down there though which is nice.
Anyway thanks for listening.

... OK, I;m different. Sad about the rat ...
Many of us try to use live-catch traps, and release them far away. Take great care in releasing, don't get bitten; and wash up afterwards.
I did have some overly-persistent mice, and live re-homing was not working. I very reluctantly went to kill-bait. My vegan side and my Buddhist side were displeased ...
The left over poison will be a permanent danger in your house-hold, and flushing and land fill are also poor choices ... :( Check if package has disposal instructions.
A hardware or home (lumber and tools and such) store, or the 'net should find you live-traps.

I'm vegan myself and wouldn't use poison. My dad is the one who used the stuff. Since I don't exactly have a job and it's not my house I don't have control of the situation.
I admit I should have been more adament about using live traps. (I did suggest it and if they had listened to me I wouldn't be sleeping downstairs.) I used to have rats as pets growing up too.
I don't usually mention that I'm vegan all that often so as to avoid stereotypes.
As for the writing I actually finished up this morning 100 or so words shy of 3k. I have enough content for another chapter it's a matter of editing it now. I'll try and get it out tonight or tomorrow.
