Just thought I'd ask here about new movies and shows that released this year all of you enjoyed.
I saw "Wolfwalkers" and definitely enjoyed it though the animation wasn't as polished as I like. The story and heart was there though and reminded me of what Disney use to be in Western animation. You can see it on Apple+.
Also just saw "Promising Young Woman" a smart revenge flick on sexual abuse, the main character who turns the tables on men in pick up spots. Worth a watch.
"The Call" is a timebending film in the vein of "Frequency", "Il Mare/The Lakehouse" but in a Horror context. What can I can but the film has tense moments and is wrapped quite taut at times.
For shows if "I'm Not Ok But That's Ok" is this year as well as "King: Eternal Monarch" those are definitely recommended. The latter series is set in 2 differing Korea's, one united under a Monarchy and another our Korea. The King ends up having to search for someone in the other Korea.

Not Quite New

But I have to give The Mandalorian a boost. I'm currently watching Season 5 of The Expanse, which for my money is the best SF series on TV.

Mulan

The new Mulan brought me to tears a number of times.

The Professor and the Madman were acting triumphs for Mel Gibson and Sean Penn.

Bridgerton, although a TV series, is as pretty a production as I've seen since My Fair Lady and the opening scene of Lalaland.

Of course, the movie of the year was Hamilton.

I'm not a huge sci-fi fan but was blown away by Mandalorian.

Alien's Reaction

There are dozens of clips on YouTube called "Alien's Reaction". I find them interesting because they appear to be written in Bandar Abbas, Iran by a very stealthy CGI production company. I do hope that they will eventually compile them into a proper Movie.
