Chris Meadows, aka Robotech Master, and one of the two main creators of FreeRIDErs ( https://shifti.org/wiki/FreeRIDErs_(setting) ), has passed away due to brain injuries caused by a SUV hit and run while he was on his e-bike.

I've enjoyed that universe for years. It's saddening to think that besides the fact that both main authors (JonBuck and Robotech_Master) had burned themselves out a bit, meaning there was only a post or two in the last year, this may be the death knell of further stories.

It's likely disheartening for his family, especially his parents. Parents always hope that they will pass before their children. In this case, at least he had no children to suffer his loss, yet no children also means it is difficult to have a continuing legacy.

Here's to the wish that he's in peace now, that his family finds peace of their own, and that the SUV driver eventually receives the karma that they have been sowing. Also that the universe he put so much of his effort into continues to grow.
