So my wife was tested yesterday, and the results came back this afternoon - she tested positive for Covid-19. That makes my two sons and I ”Presumptive Positive” as well. No big shock there as both of my sons and my wife all had the same symptoms - low grade fever, muscle and joint aches, severe headache, abdominal pains and diarrhea, as well as loss of sense of smell and taste.

My sons are both doing great now, while my wife’s fever has broken and her aches are better. She is still suffering from a slight shortness of breath as well as abdominal pains - she says it feels like someone punched her in the gut. Based on my sons, she should be much better by tomorrow, or at least I hope!

On the other hand, I have had very few problems. A lingering cough which has actually gotten better, and a slight case of sniffles.

As all three have definitely had the virus, and two, soon to be three, have recovered, I am sure that although I have been essentially asymptomatic I have it. I have been stuck in the same house as the three of them for 13 days now, so I have obviously been exposed, lol.

Sooooooo..........

Hopefully we will all be fine. Oh yeah, I am now stuck in here until at least next Tuesday.

I'm glad to hear that your sons are feeling better and hopefully your wife will be feeling better soon too. I head that close to 50% of the cases are asymptomatic so you're probably one of the lucky ones. Fingers crossed that you can last until Isolation is over without going too stir crazy.

*big hugs*

Asymptomic = No symptoms

Quoting from wikipedia

In medicine, a disease is considered asymptomatic if a patient is a carrier for a disease or infection but experiences no symptoms.

Clearly these people are showing symptoms of the disease, which is the only reason they were tested.

If they are only testing people with overt symptoms, the asymptomatic infected will never be tested.
Only mass population testing produces asymptomatic positive results, like what South Korea did at the start, even then it doesn't mean those victims will never show symptoms, as much as they were detected before showing any, due to the testing methodology.

As we know Covid-19 has approximately a two week "incubation" period before any overt symptoms show up, anyone tested in that period would be classified as asymptomatic, at the time of testing.

On Diamond Pincess...

...out of the 600+ tested positive about half had no symtomes whatsoever.
I had a bad case of cough in December... I have sniffles all of the time as I am allergic to cats and dogs and I dont trust antihystamines mediceine. And every first 20+ woman carries a dog everywhere... Why??? Why all of you need your dog in the supermarket? No one cares for people with allergies. Everybody cares that dog is not left unattended for 15 minutes...

PS: good scenario nowadays is get it, survive it, be immune to it.
PPS: So my best wishes to you and yours!

Don't tell us, stop the woman

Don't tell us, stop the woman in question and say "Do you REALLY have to drag your dog into a food establishment, especially when there may be people allergic to dogs?"

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
