things haven't gone entirely to plan since the weekend!

That's not to say there has been a disaster or anything rather that instead of writing fiction on Monday I spent the day working on my annual travelogue volume. To tell the truth i'm struggling a bit with the plot, it'll come but I don't want to force things.

On the other hand, yesterdays 'Roman' trip was pretty good, Binchester, Piercebridge and Aldborough provided a town, a bridge, a small fort and a cavalry fort - boring as hell if archaeology isn't your thing but we enjoyed it.

I've now pretty much got all the holiday snaps sorted out so i'll put together a few for your enjoyment at the weekend. It might not be Sunday as i'm visiting the kidlings but its something you can look forward to avoiding. here is a sample to warn you off!
